La Mia Storia

Born in the eternal city of Rome, from a very young age I knew food was my passion. After attending the Chef Academy in Italy and working in different restaurants around the Peninsula and Europe, I opened my first restaurant in Rome where I spent three amazing years.
During my travels l had the chance to meet people from all over the world and work in incredible places such as spiritual retreats in Mexico, festivals like Burning Man and summer events in Canada. 
I fell in love with Latin America and it’s food as soon as I arrived.
In 2014 I left Italy for good and started a new life in the Pacific Coast of Panama where I spent five years running my own restaurants and hotel. It is in Panama where I began with the private catering industry, working on yachts as they crossed the Panama Canal.
In 2019, I moved to Mexico and began my journey as a chef in private events and wellness retreats. Coming into contact with all of the wonderful people I have served led me  to start my own personal project.
MATTEO'S PRIVATE CHEF EXPERIENCE is a luxury food service platform that weaves a colorful journey of flavors and cultures.
